The local alumni chapters of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. (Sigmas) and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. (Zetas) continue to partner together in the Bloomington-Normal community to sponsor our annual signature event. The 9th Annual Blue Valentine “Dancing Apollo Style” will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 7:00pm – Midnight at The Chateau, Bloomington-Normal. The evening will feature an Apollo Style dancing competition, an opportunity for attendees to showcase their dancing talents for various prizes and bragging rights.
Over the years, Sigmas & Zetas have been grateful to serve our community through service, the development of men and women, and assisting the personal needs of individuals and groups. Since the beginning of the Blue Valentine gala in 2016, the Sigmas and Zetas have been able to offer more than $35,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors and qualifying current college students.
To continue this tradition, we will feature a Virtual Ad Presentation and Silent Auction. We would like to provide you with the opportunity to take part by purchasing an ad, becoming a sponsor for the event, or by donating a product or service for the silent auction. We will feature the virtual ads presentation during the night of the event, via a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation will also be made available on the website of both organizations for at least one month after the event. All donations and sponsorships are tax deductible and a portion of all funds raised will go toward our scholarships.
To become a sponsor, place an ad, or donate to the silent auction please complete the enclosed Agreement form. All donations, ads, sponsorships, and silent auction items are due by Friday, February 2, 2024.

Established on principles of scholarship, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, founded in 1914, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, founded in 1920, are constitutionally bound organizations – considered true brothers and sisters among the Pan-Hellenic Greek Council’s Divine Nine organizations. The fraternity and sorority participate in activities like Blue Valentine to support community service endeavors and to raise funds to promote educational excellence among college-bound students.
